Hi all, my name is Liz Meredith. I’m 29 years old, I am 1 of 6 siblings and I live in Birmingham, UK. I am the proud owner of High Profile Cosmetics and have been an SPMU specialist for 8 years now. Here is how my journey began..

I studied for 3 years up to ‘Level 4 Beauty’ and ‘Theatrical and Media Makeup’ in college once I left secondary school. Being 15 years old at the time of studying I decided to start working shifts at my family bakery where I could for pocket money. Although my heart was set on beauty, I absolutely loved the bakery life.. who wouldn’t love free cakes!

Once I’d graduated from beauty college I continued to work whilst gaining experience on the side from doing Makeup jobs here and there; one of them being on the set of ‘Hollyoaks’ on Channel 4.

I had seen articles online about ‘Microblading’ and ‘SPMU’ (semi permanent makeup). I found this super intriguing. 8 years ago this was unheard of in Birmingham, and so the research began. By the end of the week I was signed up to train with a hugely reputable academy from Bradford, which 12 weeks later I would be qualified to go out into the SPMU world and take the self-employed leap.. and I haven’t looked back since.

5 years, 12 masterclasses, many sleepless nights, 2 awards and 1000+ clients later, my small business is growing strength to strength by the day and I could not be more grateful for endless support and interest from all of you. Thankyou for reading. Enjoy exploring!
